Second Fiddle Ministries is taking a leading role in the Columbus Walk for Economic Empowerment. Second Fiddle works closely with both InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at The Ohio State University and PEER Servants. The Columbus Walk brings the two together. Gary (Executive Director) and Peggy (Treasurer) Nielsen are wonderful examples of how much better ministry can be when there are organizations like Second Fiddle Ministries willing and eager to play second fiddle and do it so well.

Stop & Shop has been a very generous sponsor of the Walk for Economic Empowerment since 2008.  They provide lunch items, drinks, snacks, paper goods, and decor as a very practical way of saying "thank you" to the walkers who are raising tens of thousands of dollars to empower the materially poor.   We applaud Stop & Shop for their significant commitment to the community and encourage your patronage of them as a provider of high-quality, reasonably-priced grocery items.

Honey Dew Donuts kicks the Walk off with coffee and donuts for our walkers.  They are a long-time friend of the Walk for Economic Empowerment.  John Kennedy is the owner of the Honey Dew franchises in Wakefield, Melrose, Stoneham and now Danvers, Massachusetts and is known throughout the area as a very generous man. We encourage you to support his franchises, not just because he’s nice, but because Honey Dew makes some awfully good donuts!

Chick-fil-A is known nationwide as a company committed to the community while operating by very high standards of integrity, so we are very honored that they would choose to sponsor the Walk for Economic Empowerment.  We wish there were many more Chick-fil-As in the Boston area, but are especially grateful to Daniel Mitchell and the Burlington Mall Chick-fil-A for their generous support.   The sandwiches Chick-fil-A provides are so loved by our walkers that we're not certain whether they are coming to walk or to get their Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich!
