Anita Francesque
Roadside Diner Owner/Dried Fish Retailer
Haiti

Anita Francisque is a single mother of three children. She lives in a small community outside of Trou-du-Nord, one of the larger cities in Nord, Haiti’s poorest province. Working in collaboration with fellow members of her Bank of Hope, “God is so good,” Anita has received three loans – $125, $250, and $425 – from HOPE Haiti. These loans have helped her to considerably expand her roadside diner and dried fish businesses.

Though the last few years have been full of challenges, Anita thanks God for the opportunities HOPE loans have given her. She has been able to purchase a larger net for her fishing business, increasing her capacity to catch, prepare, and sell a greater number of fish. She has also used her success to support other local businesses in her community. Today, Anita dreams of continuing to expand her business, of becoming completely self-sufficient, and of being able to offer even more to other businesses out of her abundance.
