The 2011 Walk for Economic Empowerment offers you the opportunity to give someone who is materially poor access to opportunity. You can direct 100% of the funds you raise (over and above the $20 registration fee) to support microfinance that allows the materially poor to generate their own income. They are then in a position where they can address their own needs and pursue their opportunities and those of their family, church, and community. We have already held our 2011 Walks in Charleston, Columbus, Boston, and Chicago, but you can still "Walk Where You Are" and raise a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars, 100% of which will empower the materially poor through the microfinance partners of PEER Servants. Please join us as, together, we follow in the footsteps of Jesus and show very practical expressions of our love for the materially poor.
